Fischer-Tropsch wax is a type of synthetic wax produced using Fischer-Tropsch synthesis technology, with a mixture of CO and H₂ gases as raw materials, through processes such as hydrogenation and cutting. Its main components are saturated high molecular weight n-alkanes, with an average carbon number greater than 20 and a relative molecular weight higher than 500. It is solid at room temperature, chemically stable, non-corrosive and non-toxic, and does not pollute the environment. It has characteristics such as high melting point with a narrow range, low kinematic viscosity, low needle penetration, high hardness, and low oil content. Therefore, in many high-end fields, Fischer-Tropsch wax has gradually begun to replace paraffin wax.
